    Reviewing last weeks updates

Posted by Bob Jansen on September 18, 2008 at 12:58 pm

Almost a week ago we’ve implemented Tweetburner accounts and the FriendFeed integration.

Shortly after launching the updates we’ve experienced performance issues. A lot of our users took the time to respond on Twitter and leave us feedback. We are thankful for all the feedback and we’ve done our best to respond to all messages. Currently the performance issues are solved and we’re now working on usability updates.

From our own observations and the user feedback we’ve compiled a small list with updates for the bookmarklet. The updates to the bookmarklet will be made in the near future.

We hope you like the new features as much as we do. If you’re a FriendFeed user, add us :-).

Feel free to send us your suggestions, questions and problems!

So far, Tweetburner seems like a tool with plenty of potential.

It would have been helpful if you had detailed some of the specific “performance issues” and “usability updates.”

One of my biggest frustrations is that I cannot stay signed in with Tweetburner. Every time I close a browser, I have to re-sign in.

Also, and I’m sure you’re working on this, but I’d love to see a social network built in. I appreciate an archive of my Twurls, but it would be better if I could share that archive with a network (without sharing the click-thru data).

Fleck has a nice archiving service, and nice social network element (though minimal userbase) — but the lack the metrics element of Tweetburner. If Fleck and Tweetburner got together, we’d have a handy tool.

      Thanks!
